I think the Greek 'eye' is one of them, but then when I get back I wish I'd have picked up a couple of them. Good luck - hope you get back to buy the lamp and that it will always shine brightly for you.Jackie and Joel Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14074129927177165084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7011248318265372337.post-51905211001493816272013-08-21T07:06:51.063-07:002013-08-21T07:06:51.063-07:00I always enjoy a visit to your blog, Jill. A few years ago, when painting in Italy and driving through Tuscany we stopped at Volterra, where alabaster is mined. The town was filled with every possible items made from alabaster.I did not buy anything as it looked too common. We stopped for an evening drink and as we drove from the town, an alabaster lamp glowed in a window of a shop which had closed for the day. This is a memory that haunts me and soon I will return and purchase this lamp.helen tilstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02791882664528962799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7011248318265372337.post-62125035500705734952013-08-20T08:13:49.490-07:002013-08-20T08:13:49.490-07:00I guess sometimes things just take our fancy - and...I guess sometimes things just take our fancy - and we don't really know why.<br />Happy travels, and collecting, and have a great week. and thank you for stopping by my blog today.
